WRK/LDN Shaping London’s future workplaces, New London Architecture 2016
Informed by roundtables and interviews with over 70 representatives from across business and the built environment, as well as policy and literature review, this NLA research examines how London can ensure its future resilience through its provision of space and land for business. Cities’ Mark Brearley was a key contributor to the document and the accompanying exhibition which took place on 12th October 2016 at the NLA, Store St, London.
Mark was interviewed, organised exhibition content relating to manufacturing in London, and shared contacts, images and artefacts with the authors of the research. The exhibition included a series of objects ‘Made in London’, based on Mark’s Instagram account of the same name, showcasing London’s makers and manufacturers and industry, accompanied by a photographic series by Grant Smith.
