Urban Depth, High Streets and Industry
Talk at the Streetspace Symposium, Queen’s University Belfast 26th May 2017
On 26th May 2017 Jane Clossick gave a talk entitled Urban Depth, High Streets and Industry at the Streetspace Symposium, Queen’s University Belfast. StreetSpace is a research and teaching project at Queen’s University Belfast, led by Dr Agustina Martire, lecturer in Architecture. The project investigates the significance of local mixed streets through their urban form, histories and experiences. It challenges the accepted urban analysis of built environment disciplines by establishing links with other disciplines involved in the study of the urban environment. The project also seeks to enable the dialogue between academia, policy and the public through the organisation of local workshops.
Jane Clossick has been involved in the Streetspace program since 2017, when she first joined Agustina in Belfast for the Streetspace symposium. She has been part of both major Streetspace workshops in Belfast in 2018 and 2019 and hosted a workshop in London in which participants explored Kingsland High Road over two hard working days.
