Over Open House weekend 2017, Mark Brearley co-ordinated the opening to the public of several London manufacturing businesses.
Over Open House weekend 2017, Mark Brearley co-ordinated the opening to the public of several London manufacturing businesses including Flux Metal, James Glancey (who make the Christmas Lighting for Oxford Street amongst other things), fabricators Studio Make Create, terrazzo company Diespeker, community art project DIY space, Miber engineering, tray manufacturer Kaymet, London Stone Carving, fabricators Weber Industries, John Hinds framing and the Livesey Exchange temporary workshops. Mark led around 20 public tours of the Kaymet factory over Saturday and Sunday, promoted as part of Open House London and the Peckham Festival. There was also a small display about the Old Kent Road industrial economy based on Cities’ research. Mark was interviewed by Robert Elms on BBC London radio.
